Initial Sketches - Submissions

I'm pleased to announce that I am organising an evening of work-in-progress short plays which will be performed in South-East London at Canvas and Cream on Thursday 1st May 2025 and I am on the look out for exciting scripts to showcase!

This is a fantastic opportunity which promises the following to the selected writers:

​

• A script development meeting with myself to discuss your script and provide constructive feedback which can then inform its future  performance.

• Each script will be attached to a director who will help cast the play and support you to bring your work to the stage.

• A performance in front of an audience who will be invited to discuss your work with you afterwards in our venue's lovely bar area.

• The evening itself will serve as a wonderful networking opportunity to meet other writers, directors and producers to forge meaningful connections for the future.

So if you have a new piece of writing you are eager to test and want to build those creative connections which can help breathe life into your words then please do send your script our way.

We are looking for the following:

​

• Monologues or duologues

• 15 mins maximum running time

• No specific theme

• We are accepting short plays and extracts from longer pieces, however please make sure that what you submit stands on its own and doesn't need too much explanation

• Please note this is an unpaid opportunity.
